It's time for another Photo Hunt collection, and Aubrey is our talented photographer. Aubrey and I met through her her blog, The Daily Simple. (We intermet! >.<) I adore how beautifully curated her words and photos are over in her corner of the internet. She inspires and promotes simple living on her site, as well as in this gorgeous set of photos for the Photo Hunt series. In case it's your first time here- The Photo Hunt is an interview with a twist. I ask inspiring, nimble folks who love to Ponder, Explore, and Create their way through a simple life, to snap ten photos that they feel sum up the unique themes they are given.
If you’d like to catch up on the previous Photo Hunts, be sure to check out the beautiful collections by Claire, Kat, Angelo, and Blanca. Sending my most sincere THANKS to Aubrey for participating! I hope you enjoy her beautiful collection.
I can't help but think of beautiful new fruits and veggies that come about with the turning seasons.
2. Something Soft
One of my four cats, Jasmine.
3. A Friend
I'm at home from roughly 8 am-5:30 pm, just me and the four cats. While I suppose that makes me look lonely, that my cats are my friends, I feel quite the opposite.
4. Four of Something
I know, I know, this is kind of cheating. But the Harry Potter groupie in me got giddy when I saw this sign (though it has a four in it) on a walk through the woods.
A library canvas tote bag I sewed. I'm working on screen printing the outside. I've done one print on both sides but they need some touching up because of the texture of the fabric.
6. A pic at 11am or pm
Treating myself to an early lunch of vegan mac and cheese from the farmer's market, tempeh bean chili from our local co-op, while reading up on Texas state parks.
7. A meal you prepared
'Chickpea of the Sea' salad sandwich.
The seasons are much different here in Texas. While everyone is starting to get cold weather and snow we get a change of scenery with new sprouts of rapidly growing plants. This one I saw on a walk to the library, entangling itself around a fence.
Pulling the car over after seeing a trail that went up this massive rock which bordered the road, while my husband stayed in the car because it looked too dangerous.
10. A building in your town
While this isn't the whole building, I'd be doing a disservice if I didn't highlight some of the beautiful, quirky, fun graffiti here on the buildings of Austin. Austin is heavy in the arts and I love all of the new pieces I see put up on the sides of buildings.
Weren't those gorgeous?! I want to snuggle those cats and eat sandwiches now!
